Responsibilities
Partner closely with sales staff, brokers, directors, food technologists, and customers to understand product needs and technical requirements
Gather and interpret information from internal resources to support customer sampling, technical questions, and new product requests
Evaluate customer samples, analyze results, and prepare standard or custom product matches with support from technical and quality partners
Maintain retained samples of competitive and developmental products to support ongoing evaluations and comparisons
Conduct product tastings and cuttings to assess quality, performance, and alignment with customer expectations
Manage technical service databases, records, and documentation related to customer samples, specifications, and technical requests
Coordinate external laboratory testing as needed to support product development and quality assessments
Qualifications
A high school diploma; college coursework in chemistry or food science is a strong advantage
Prior experience in a manufacturing, quality, production, or customer‑focused technical environment, and ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical information clearly
Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound decisions with limited supervision
Comfort using computer tools for documentation, record keeping, and database maintenance
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast‑paced setting
A collaborative mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships across teams and with customers
