Job Description

Uniformity Clerk must effectively communicate with supervision, tire‑room personnel, and supplying departments.

Follow all plant, environmental, and departmental safety policies. Must be certified to operate a forklift through the Safety Department.

Read and interpret gauging devices, identification tags, tire codes, and possess good math skills to add and subtract positive and negative numbers, and write, collect, and enter data as required.

Be knowledgeable of tire components, tire building machines, curing presses, tuos, and balancers.

Perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, and keep work areas neat, clean, and orderly.

Alert to out‑of‑spec conditions or any extraordinary condition and immediately notify tire‑room supervision whenever such conditions occur.

Accurately record time on timecard with proper account code.

Perform other duties as directed by the PLT Shift Supervisor or Department Manager.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED recommended. Applicants without a High School Diploma or GED must complete an In‑House Competency Test (non‑core jobs only) to be deemed eligible.

0–1 year of manufacturing experience needed.

No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Environment

Safety is our highest priority; safety procedures/guidelines must always be adhered to, including hearing protection and steel‑toe shoes.

New hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends.

Job is within a non‑climate‑controlled environment exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise; majority of work completed in a high‑heat environment.

Role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery; comprehensive training provided.

Hourly Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $21.37 per hour. This position is also eligible for a quarterly incentive program.

This role will be eligible for shift differential which is added onto your hourly rate. The additional shift differential is $0.20 per hour for overnight shifts, $0.15 per hour for evening shifts, and $1.00 per hour for weekend shifts.

Pay rate is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
