Looking Glass Community Services is hiring a
Social Service Assistant
to join our Regional Crisis Center Programs.
As the RCC Social Service Assistant, you will schedule, coordinate, and supervise group activities; maintain consistency and safety among clients; observe and record behavior patterns; aid in service planning; document necessary behaviors; help clients with skill‑building and daily household tasks; support crisis intervention and de‑escalation using training techniques.
Shift Information Full‑time, overnight shifts from 10 pm to 8 am, four days per week.
Responsibilities
Schedule, coordinate, and supervise group activities at the RCC program.
Maintain consistency and safety among clients; observe and record behavior patterns.
Aid in service planning and document necessary behaviors.
Help clients with skill‑building and directions for daily housekeeping duties, chores, physical activity, recreation, hygiene, and school work.
Complete crisis intervention and de‑escalate clients daily utilizing crisis intervention techniques learned during training.
Qualifications
Eligibility for QMHA certification preferred.
Prior experience working with combative at‑risk youth, preferably in a residential setting, or experience in a challenging, high‑paced environment.
Ability to maintain strong professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Must be able to pass crisis intervention training within first month of employment.
Ability to perform specific manual restraints as specified by the state.
