Overview
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our operations running safely, smoothly, and sustainably. We’re looking for a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in keeping things running like clockwork. What You’ll Do
Repair and replace production equipment (pumps, heaters, etc.) Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks Operate and maintain our wastewater evaporator system Support site waste and recycling processes, including hazardous materials Handle snow/ice removal and maintain safe walkways Assist with shipping, receiving, and chemical handling Conduct safety inspections and maintain emergency equipment Keep the facility clean, organized, and fully operational Follow planned maintenance schedules and respond to urgent needs What You Bring
You will be a US citizen with High school diploma or GED Technical know-how
in instrumentation electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fabrication Safety-first mindset
with experience handling equipment and waste Problem-solving skills
and a proactive approach to repairs Reliability
and pride in maintaining a clean, efficient workspace Team spirit
and clear communication across departments Adaptability
to respond to changing priorities and urgent tasks Ability to perform manual handling, outdoor work, and operate machinery Why James Cropper?

This is both a hands-on and supervisory position, working Monday through Friday, typically from 7:00 to 15:30, primarily in a production environment. There is some opportunity for flexibility within this work schedule to meet individual needs. This position requires working with hazardous chemicals with appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, protective gloves, and, at times, a respirator. This position requires passing medical clearance for physical labor as well as respirator use and ensuring there are no conditions that may interfere with the face-to-facepiece respirator seal or respirator valve function. You must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process. This job description is intended to provide an overview of the skills required for this position.
