Packaging Operator 2nd Shift
Pure's Food Specialties, LLC is looking for a Packaging Operator for the 2nd shift to operate and monitor machinery in a manufacturing setting. The operator will set up, adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure efficient and safe production and will follow safety guidelines. Responsibilities
Understand and follow Food Safety policies. Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, and be willing to work in other departments. Read and understand recipes. Troubleshoot process‑related issues within recipe boundaries. Use digital scales and maintain knowledge of scale functions. Mix doughs according to recipe and use the time and batch recipe system. Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and maintain mix lot number and documentation accuracy. Clean & refill ingredient bins and label bins with correct lot number. Perform work in a standing position for entire shift and climb steps and ladders. Monitors and assists with upstream/downstream equipment to ensure continuous operation. Clean mixers and work areas properly during and after production runs or changeovers. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area. Observe plant safety, GMP and allergen procedures and attend training sessions. Manufacture, distribute, and consistently maintain safe and quality food following GMP, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements. Immediately report all food safety and quality issues to supervisor. Follow supervisor’s directives and support the shift team as needed. Qualifications and Preferred Skills
Effective communication with coworkers and management. Understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies. Strong mathematical skills. Work Environment & Physical Demands
Manufacturing facility; standing, bending, climbing, or walking 80% of the time. Frequent twisting, bending, and stooping during work tasks. Frequently carry or lift 50 pounds or more. Travel Required
