Assistant Manager II Overview
Join Family Dollar’s team as an Assistant Store Manager, helping with store operations, customer service, and team development. This full‑time, mid‑senior level role is located at 2820 Warrington Road, Keshena, Wisconsin 54135. Responsibilities
Assist with store functions, day‑to‑day operations, and opening/closing procedures. Provide positive, approachable customer service and address inquiries. Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas. Process corporate directives (Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey requests) and related communications. Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays. Support merchandise ordering, damaged merchandise processing, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts), and loss prevention. Ensure a well‑stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards. Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash. Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies, ensuring all associates follow procedures. Assist the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates. Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment and professional customer interactions. Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills And Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (required). Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment (preferred). Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting (required). Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills (required). Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment (required).
