Responsibilities

Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials.

Planning work by interpreting blueprints.

Determining welding position and type of metal to be fused.

Selecting and setting up welding equipment.

Ensuring welds meet standards and specifications.

Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.

Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in welding.

Minimum 3‑5 years experience in welding.

AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good mechanical aptitude.

Ability to read blueprints.

Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.

Good communication skills.

Knowledge of quality assurance and self‑inspection techniques.

Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented.

Team orientation.

Crane operation experience preferred, but not required.

Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

ADA Requirements

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.

Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

Visual: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Visual: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.

Job Conditions: The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Job Conditions: The worker is subject to hazards: includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
