Welder/Fitter (MIG and TIG)
Location Louisa, VA
Duration Full Time, Contract to Hire
Shift 7AM to 3:30PM (Monday to Friday)
Salary Starts at $27.00/Hour
Job Description We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter with experience in MIG and TIG welding to join our team. The ideal candidate will be capable of interpreting drawings, assembling parts, and performing high-quality welds. This role offers competitive compensation for individuals who can effectively fit and weld components as specified.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding, and ideally TIG welding, to assemble parts and components
Take a set of drawings and a collection of parts and accurately fit them together
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper assembly and welding of parts
Inspect and ensure welds meet quality and safety standards
Requirements
Proven experience as a welder/fitter with strong MIG welding skills; TIG welding experience is a plus
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Competence in fitting parts accurately according to specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
