Base pay range $19.00/hr - $22.00/hr
Job Description The Technician Helper will work under the supervision of a senior level technician and will service vehicles as assigned by the supervisor following all established standards and procedures, which includes rotating tires, performing multi-point inspections, and changing automotive fluids. He/she checks the oil, tire pressure and condition, filters, windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant. The tech helper will do rotations in all areas of the service shop including express services, drivability, diesel, heavy line, etc.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of experience, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, and an aptitude for vehicle repair. Candidates must be able to manage time effectively and must have good attention to detail and appropriate dress, speech, and behavior. Ford Certifications a plus.
Responsibilities
Is an attentive student to the journey-level technician
Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs
Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs
Checks all fluids and maintenance-related parts and tops-off or replaces fluids or filters/parts as required
Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
One year of relevant experience preferred
Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired
Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
Must be able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
Neat, clean, and professional appearance
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
Basic computer and internet skills
Ford Certifications a plus
