REPORTS TO Electric Engineering Manager
STATUS/HOURS Non-Exempt / Union / Full Time / M - F / 7:00 – 3:30
HOURLY RANGE Engineering Tech 1: $41.07 - $48.03/hour (position will start at $41.07/hour)
Engineering Tech 2: $45.34 - $53.34/hour (position will start at $45.34/hour)

Minimum Qualifications Experience
Engineering Tech 1: Two years of applicable electric utility experience as related to the Essential Functions; or technical/engineering work, academic experience, or construction management experience as related to the Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities for an Engineering Tech 1 may substitute.
Engineering Tech 2: Five years of applicable electric utility experience as related to the Essential Functions; or technical/engineering work, academic experience, or construction management experience as related to the Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities for an Engineering Tech 2 may substitute.
Education/Licenses/Certifications
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
Driving is an essential function of this position. Therefore, a valid Oregon driver’s license (must obtain within first six months) is required.
Preferred:
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Bachelor degree in Engineering
Apprentice/Journey-level trades experience.

Serving 25+ square miles in and around the City of Springfield, Oregon (pop. 55,000), the utility offers its customers some of the lowest water and electric rates in the Pacific Northwest. SUB is a customer-owned community resource. SUB is owned by and responsible to the people it serves. As an independent agency, all rates paid go directly back into operating the utility.
