Field Maintenance Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a Customer Service Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for safely maintaining, servicing, and occasionally installing or removing various types of bulk liquid and gaseous cryogenic supply systems (Nitrogen, Argon, Helium, Oxygen, CO2, and Hydrogen).
Field Territory St. Louis, MO
Primary Responsibilities
Respond to service calls and perform supply system inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned accounts.
Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and Linde sales department.
Use Microsoft Office applications and data‑entry devices.
Work an 8‑hour day on site and be on call 24 hours unless scheduled off.
Travel as required and operate Linde‑issued service vehicle with a clean driving record.
Plan work‑order priorities and manage time effectively.
Training Training will be held at the Linde National Training Center in East Chicago, Indiana. It is a one‑week college‑level program requiring completion of prerequisites before the class.
Experience & Core Competencies
Ability to read and understand P&ID drawings, materials of construction, and installation drawings.
Experience supervising outside personnel such as crane, electrical, and mechanical contractors.
Electrical troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of regulators, solenoids, valves (manual, automatic/solenoid), gas analyzers, piping, fittings, pressure relief devices, and rupture discs.
Familiarity with cryogenic storage, vacuum systems, mixers, and vaporizers.
Troubleshooting of reciprocating and centrifugal pump systems and associated electrical control panels.
Knowledge of pressure testing and cleaning procedures for oxygen service.
Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies for the service vehicle.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
3+ years of maintenance/repair experience on mechanical and electrical systems.
Technologically savvy; comfortable using Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
Must live within specified counties of Missouri or Illinois.
Willingness to work on‑call 24/7 after training period.
Schedule Full‑time.
