Winter Center Coordinator
Position: WINTER CENTER COORDINATOR FLSA: Seasonal/Temporary Salary Range: $16.00/hr Department: The Haven Winter Center Reports To: Business Operations Manager Deadline: Open until filled
Position Summary The Haven Winter Center Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the daily operations of a warming center that provides a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for individuals experiencing homelessness or extreme cold weather conditions. This role ensures that services are delivered safely, respectfully, and in accordance with the Town’s policies and regulations.
Desired Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Valid New Mexico Driver's License with acceptable driving record
High School Diploma or GED Certificate (Associate or Bachelor degree preferred)
Experience working with vulnerable populations, shelters, or community services
Training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation, or crisis intervention
CPR/First Aid certification
Experience supervising staff or volunteers
Must have a favorable criminal background check
