Job Responsibilities
The Forklift Operator/Freezer Loader is a broad-scale position that requires skill, patience, and training to master. A combination of observation and hands-on experience is required to gain confidence in this job. In addition to safely and efficiently transferring palletized products into the freezer, you are required to complete other tasks during your shift. Detailed duties include, but are not limited to: Using a stand-up forklift, moving pallets of product off the line to the freezer or trailer Transferring strapped or wrapped palletized product into the freezer safely and in a timely manner and in proper product rotation Monitoring palletized product for rewraps or damaged packages Keeping the palletizer magazine filled with the correct pallets for the product you are running (DO NOT block or put pallets on the white painted inspection aisles) Monitoring pallet condition and removing broken or damaged pallets from service for repair or disposal and recording on the Damaged Pallet Log Removing and emptying scrap product containers from the packaging area Keeping pallet tags in numerical order and turning in leftovers at the end of the shift to a supervisor With the assistance of the Packaging Utility employee, maintaining the general cleanliness of the monitor/palletizer area Accurately and completely filling out all required paperwork for the position Observing and complying with posted GMPs Performs additional duties and tasks as assigned by management Pay strict attention to detail at all times and keep non-work-related conversations to a minimum During prolonged downtime, see supervisor for job duties Help dump modules Qualifications
Experience with a stand-up forklift is required. Warehouse experience is a plus. Shift & Work Environment
Shift Hours: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 5 AM - 5 PM. Work environment may include irregular hours or periodic overtime. Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions. Must be able to work in an area that contains dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, cold, noise levels higher than normal and heights. Protective equipment is provided. Bimbo QSR
