Surplus Warehouse Material Handler/Driver – School Year 2025-2026
Job Title: Surplus Warehouse Material Handler/Driver Reports To: Assigned Building and Grounds Supervisor
Classification: Auxiliary (Skilled Labor)
Salary: See Compensation Plan for Auxiliary Staff, Pay Grade 303 (No CDL) or 305 (With CDL)

Primary Purpose Responsible for stocking, picking and delivering goods such as supplies, furniture, textbooks; operating district vehicles and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
CDL with air brakes preferred; must obtain CDL within 90 days after employment.
Minimum three (3) years experience in warehouse environment preferred.
Neat personal appearance and good work habits.
Ability to work with people effectively.
Ability to follow instructions and plan work.
Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations.
Familiarity with school locations preferred.
Occasional overtime required.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English; Spanish preferred.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Accurate handling of receiving, stocking, shipping duties and associated paperwork.
Conduct physical inventory as scheduled.
Work with regular stock, consigned goods, and moving/storing furniture and equipment.
Use computer to access inventory information and communicate electronically.
Safe operation of vehicles and large forklifts.
Maintain safe warehouse environment.
Clean and maintain warehouse facilities.
Work in adverse weather conditions when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical & Environmental Demands
Ability to lift up to 105 pounds, push/pull, bend, reach, carry.
Standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders/scaffold, kneeling, crouching.
Repetitive hand motions.
Exposure to temperature extremes, humidity, noise, low illumination, vibration, microwaves, chemical hazards, solar exposure, moving vehicles.
