Job Description Summary:
The Production Lead has responsibility for delivering products and small orders on schedule. Plans, organizes, and controls combined efforts of supporting functions/resources to support the manufacturing process. This position will interface with functional departments and ensures that all products are built with the highest quality possible, and that all processes are correct and performed in a safe manner.
Responsibilities
Lead production products through the line as assigned
Follow production schedules and ensure tasks are completed on time
Report schedule and production output
Identify and help fulfill upcoming orders to improve on-time delivery
Implement changes to ensure a safe, clean, efficient work environment following lean and 5S principles
Ensure assembly personnel stay on task and follow procedures & processes
Consistently remove roadblocks for personnel to ensure deliveries
Proactively support both production, quality, and the materials group to identify and solve issues affecting deliveries
Monitor & determine process & growth training needs and execute training for assembly personnel as required
Drive documentation changes as required to ensure that processes are followed and formally released prior to shipments
Minimum Requirements
General education degree (GED) or High School Diploma required
Up to or more than 12 months of work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Work experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or industry that complies with GMP is highly preferred
Must be able to read, write, and understand Basic English
Operating skills of manufacturing equipment, tools, and hand/fork lifts is preferred
Basic PC navigation such as the ability to enter data into programs/software applications as instructed and use software applications for mail, word processing, spreadsheets, and other job‑specific needs is required
Ability to communicate and effectively work as part of a team is required
