Job Summary Operates Pasteurizer (HTST), Separator, Microfiltration (MF, Ultrafiltration (UF, Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultrafiltration (UO/NF), Polisher, Ultraviolet (UV) and other associated systems.
Essential Functions
Maintains ongoing centerline operation of all equipment as described in Job Summary
Monitor levels in associated silos
CIPS all of the membrane systems, silos and lines
COP of equipment as needed
Perform minor maintenance items (e.g. changes gaskets, seals, and cleaning items, check balls, minor equipment greasing)
Titrates chemical solutions
Maintains CIP recorder chart & book
Become Membrane Certified
Unload and deliver supplies from truck with forklift
Lockout equipment as necessary
Monitor and make adjustments from computer screen
Attend required training and take required proficiency tests
Samples product and water streams and tests samples according to SOP
Knows GPS Non-negotiables
Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Basic Computer skills
Must be mechanically inclined
Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision
Must be dependable and trustworthy
Must be able to work in hot and wet conditions
Must be certifiable on the membrane systems
Must be forklift certifiable
Handwriting must be clear and legible
Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
Ability to read and write instructions in English
Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required
Typical Physical Activity Physical Demands
Occasionally (25-50%) involves talking or listening, standing and walking, and the use of hands and fingers.
Frequently (51-75%) involves sitting, and reaching with hands and arms
Rarely (1-25%) involves crouching, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing or balancing.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives of objects and materials.
Involves moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily product/technical nature.
Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
Typical Environmental Conditions
May be exposed to 85+ noise levels in which hearing protection will be needed
May be exposed to humidity, intense heat, and fumes and toxic chemicals.
May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.
