Job Description InReach is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician in the Charlotte area. This role is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining InReach properties including group homes, condos, apartments, and other buildings to provide stability, safety, and quality to all environments.
Position:
Full-Time
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm *hours are flexible; potential weekends as needed*
Location:
Will be travel between the counties of Cabarrus, Union, and Mecklenburg.
Pay Rate:
$25/hr.
Responsibilities may include (but not limited to)
Inspects buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues or updates needed by visiting properties regularly, responding to work orders and phone calls promptly, recommending needed upgrades and communicating with staff when on-site.
Scheduling weekly repairs, responding to emergency calls, purchasing items needed, communicating if/when outside vendor is needed for repairs, preventative maintenance.
Ensure lighting, appliances, HVAC, other electrical systems and plumbing are in good condition and upgraded/repaired as needed or required; highlighting potential equipment risks, keep an inventory of supplies to have on hand.
Maintaining building appearance by repairing/replacing walls, doors, windows, flooring, bathroom/kitchen fixtures, making recommendations for outside maintenance and landscaping, monitoring interior and exterior painting, window and roof repairs/replacements, and other projects by outside vendors.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines by surveying operational and occupational conditions to make sure conditions are safe for residents and staff, suggest proactive measures for improvements.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and reacting to change in a productive and supportive manner, performing all duties with minimal supervision, working cooperatively with supervisors.
Skills/Requirements
Utilizing various maintenance tools and equipment
Carpentry and repair
Writing and speaking English
Lifting up to 50lbs
Mathematical and problem-solving abilitiesDecision making
Maintaining confidential and sensitive information
Qualifications
High School graduate or GED
Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance.
Repairs-construction or tradesman experience preferred.
Relevant certificates (e.g. HVAC, electrical) are a plus.
Valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance.
Availability for emergencies on weekends if necessary.
