Position Summary
The Blending/Mixing Operator is responsible for safely setting up, operating, and monitoring blending and mixing equipment to prepare materials according to production specifications. This role ensures accuracy in material measurements, mixing quality, documentation, and housekeeping while supporting continuous production flow in a manufacturing environment. Job Description
The Blending/Mixing Operator reads and follows work orders, measures and blends raw materials according to formulas, operates industrial mixers, monitors equipment performance, and documents production results. This position also requires safely handling materials using forklifts and other equipment, maintaining a clean workspace, and supporting quality and safety standards at all times. Main Duties & Responsibilities
Read and follow work orders, formulas, and batch instructions
Measure raw materials accurately using scales and balances
Set up, operate, and monitor blending/mixing equipment
Maintain production quality and report any product or equipment issues
Record production and operational data as required
Transfer, load, and unload materials using forklifts and hand tools
Perform cleaning, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping tasks
Follow all safety requirements, including PPE use
Key Skills
Material handling & measurement
Mixing/Blending machine operation
Equipment monitoring & troubleshooting
Education & Other Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in manufacturing or blending/mixing highly preferred
Ability to read and follow work instructions
Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
Forklift experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and safety mindset
