The Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift is responsible for performing routine and advanced maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal production performance and minimal downtime. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a safe and efficient manner. The position is classified as full-time, Non-Exempt. The typical days and hours of work are 2nd Shift Monday to Thursday 3:00PM-1:00AM. On a workload basis this position may require additional scheduled days and hours. Principle Duties: Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working collectively with the General Manager in supporting Maintenance and Engineering to achieve company goals: Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and internal regulations in all maintenance activities. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems. Expand and maintain the preventive maintenance (PM) system; complete all PM tasks daily and on schedule. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. Inspect, repair, and maintain production support equipment including furnaces, CNC machines, cranes, pumps, motors, and HVAC units. Plan, support, and execute equipment installations, upgrades, and retrofits. Perform mechanical repairs and light metal fabrication as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic and electrical schematics, and equipment manuals. Use diagnostic tools and instruments such as multimeters and torque wrenches to identify and resolve issues. Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime and support continuous operations. Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in the CMMS or maintenance tracking system. Maintain and manage spare parts inventory; report shortages or reorder needs promptly. Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of all maintenance areas. Qualifications Minimum 7 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role. Strong general industrial maintenance skills including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and welding experience. Proven systems troubleshooting ability. Basic computer proficiency. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
