We are looking for a Critical Power Technician to help support that mission. Job Summary
We service all brands of emergency standby generators, as well as automatic transfer switches, switchgear, and other related accessories. The normal working shift is 7AM to 4PM. However, with field service, the opportunity for overtime is common. A candidate should be willing and able to work overtime as needed. Once a technician has proved capable of working in the field solo, they will be part of our rotating after-hours on-call calendar. Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have some degree of prior experience with generator sets, diesel & gaseous engines, and industrial / commercial electrical distribution. However, more importantly, we are looking for technicians who want to grow their skills. Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of critical power systems installation, start-up and commissioning. Perform diagnostic and repair procedures on all systems including PLCs, AC/DC, and switch gears. Perform scheduled maintenance on electric power generation equipment including gas and diesel engines, generators, and transfer switches. Coordination with installing electrical contractors. Oversee correction of issues arising from commissioning. Become familiar with working off-site and with mining companies. Testing and troubleshooting various sized generators. Benefits

Flexibility and willingness to be On-Call, and able to work overtime on occasion Willingness and Ability to Travel Overnight 2 Years experience with higher voltage Generator Maintenance (CAT, Kohler, Cummins equipment) Electrical and mechanical knowledge of diesel-powered generators Diagnostic Skills 3+ Years Experience with Generator Maintenance High school diploma or equivalent required Graduation from a Technical School preferred AS in Electrical Power Generator technology a big plus Military Experience is a Plus Work Conditions
Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs., and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
