SUMMARY OF POSITION: We're looking for a go-getter who is passionate about hospitality! The Office Assistant will contribute to the success of Fox Restaurant Concepts by functioning as the gatekeeper for all incoming calls, visitors and guests. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, proactive and enjoys “hosting” an office of collaborative individuals. For the right person, this position provides a unique stepping stone and exposure to additional opportunities within the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for answering all incoming corporate office calls, anticipate and address the needs of incoming guest calls, and function as the gatekeeper for the office team
Greet visitors promptly and direct them to the appropriate person
Participate in maintaining our office culture by coordinating monthly office social activities
Organize incoming mail and packages, as well as prepare outgoing deliveries for UPS and FedEx
Call for office equipment service and related issues (Flexprint, Pitney Bowes, etc.)
Proactively organize, maintain and order office equipment and other related supplies
Maintain the kitchen/break areas and restock the refrigerators and snacks
Greet new Big Kitchen employees and work with the team manager and IT to ensure their desk is set up upon arrival
Work with HR to put together company-wide communication welcoming new corporate and restaurant team members
Maintain overall office tidiness, including storage closets and supply rooms
Perform any ad hoc duties as requested
Facilitate and manager company-wide employee recognition programs
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1-3 years' experience in a guest-facing hospitality position
Highly detail-oriented with strong time management skills and a passion for enhancing the guest experience
Ability to effectively organize and multi-task to ensure work load is maintained
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information
Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals
Handle sensitive issues with employees and/or guests with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality
Ability to perform physical duties across three office buildings including, using stairs, bending and reaching, and lifting packages up to 25 pounds
Ability to maintain a pleasant disposition and function efficiently in high stress/pressure work environment
