About the Client Programme Phi Partners has supported this Investment Banking client for over a decade across Front Office Quant, eTrading, Pricing & Risk, and Core Technology. Since 2017, our Global Risk Technology collaboration has expanded from a small specialist team into a global capability supporting their enterprise risk platforms. We are now scaling the team further and hiring a
Front Office Murex Consultant
to support their US Front Office functions.
Roles and Responsibilities As a Front Office Murex Consultant, you will be attending Murex users on the first and second level of support to ensure the stability, accuracy, and performance of the Murex platform for their Fixed Income desk. You’ll be providing high‑quality support and driving continuous improvements.
Configurations of simulation views and reports (dynamic tables, notepads, trade queries) requested by the Front / Middle / Back Office areas
Assistance on position, PnL and sens report and explanation.
Understanding and gathering users needs to help them to better management in the tool.
Murex settings related to product definition
Analysis and resolution of incidents in the different Business Areas (FO, MO, Risks, …)
Request, management and monitoring of fixed income/derivatives data with different areas of the bank
Key Skills The ideal candidate will provide Front Office support within Murex and possess strong knowledge of financial product valuation. The role requires familiarity with all Murex modules, with expertise in pricing, eTradepad, simulations (PnL, blotter, PLVA, sensitivities, scenarios), and trade lifecycle management (events).
Experience in Murex support, including static data, market data and GOM configurations (permissions, settings, FO desks), simulations (viewers/layouts, PLVA, topography, risk matrices), and insertion of operations and events
Strong knowledge of financial markets, with a background in finance, accounting, economics, or business
Expertise in investment and asset management fundamentals, including knowledge of main products across asset classes and their characteristics and valuation
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams across Administration, IT, Front Office, Back Office, Risk, and Management Control
Knowledge of bank systems architecture, including contracting platforms, risk systems, management control, and back‑office systems
Strong analytical skills to evaluate product parameterisation and pricing, including PnL calculation and sensitivity analysis (delta, vega, etc.)
Financial certifications as Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or other related certifications.
