Assistant Retail Manager – Lexington, KY
Salaries: $58,700 - $81,000 annually (full-time)

Job Summary The Assistant Salon Director maintains a high‑energy, client‑centric environment, fosters superior client service, and ensures operational excellence to meet established productivity goals. The role involves managing and supervising Tanning Consultants to achieve company goals and lead by example in all company operations.
Responsibilities
Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast‑paced environment.
Lead by example to create a client‑centric experience and meet personal sales expectations.
Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
Establish clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve Team Members’ daily performance.
Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
Assist the Salon Director in controlling top‑line revenue and expenses.
Help maintain proper staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and excellent customer service while controlling labor costs.
Work nights and weekends as required to provide management coverage.
Have reliable transportation to travel to the bank as needed.
Expect to work approximately 40‑45 hours per week, five days a week.
Qualifications & Experience
College education preferred (not required).
Management and/or Sales experience preferred (not required).
Basic computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Ability to manage effectively in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple situations.
Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
Problem‑solving and organizational/planning skills.
Strong leadership skills; ability to coach and mentor; knowledge of supervisory practices.
Team‑building skills.
Ability to prioritize and delegate.
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for long periods.
Bend at waist to clean tanning equipment.
Lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from floors.
Perform salon cleaning functions: dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
Compensation $15 per hour base pay plus performance bonuses (average earning $19/hr, not guaranteed).
