About the Role The Kentucky Judicial Branch offers exciting career opportunities with the Administrative Office of the Courts in Frankfort and the state courts in all 120 Kentucky counties. This role assists the Circuit Court Clerk in performing constitutional duties.
Responsibilities
Enter accurate data into the Court of Justice case management system.
File and retrieve legal documents and court records.
Notify counsel of record and parties as necessary.
Assist the public with the status of court cases.
Attend court and serve as a bench clerk.
Exercise judgment and discretion.
Follow instructions, concentrate, and multitask with others on common tasks.
Use computers, software, and other office equipment.
Exhibit tact and diplomacy, and communicate orally and in writing.
Collect fines and fees as necessary.
Perform other clerical duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Associate's Degree.
High School Degree with 2 years of job‑related experience (substitution).
Experience: None required.
Special requirements: High School graduate or GED with proof of education.
Working Conditions The job requires bending, squatting, reaching, and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 20 pounds.
