Warmly greets and seats all guests in a professional manner. Answers all phone calls promptly with a friendly voice. Accurately records reservations and messages for managers and chefs. Assists all departments to achieve high guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
Answers incoming calls promptly (3 rings or less) in a professional and caring manner Greet guests upon arrival in a warm and welcoming way Record reservations, special requests, and messages for managers and chefs Direct guests to appropriate seating and maintain the dining room flow Communicate seating with kitchen and bussers/servers; set tables when needed Use the Open Table system to note special requests (birthdays, booths, etc.) Provide information about wait times accurately; offer alternatives when there is a wait Acknowledge regular guests by name Assist with to-go orders and front desk maintenance (menus, table tents, restrooms, etc.) Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and front entrance Ensure guests are guided to facilities and that the restaurant operates smoothly Qualifications
Prior experience in a full service restaurant, retail, or similar environment English language and professional communication skills Ability to take direction and work in a team environment Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure Problem solving, self-motivation, and organizational skills Ability to work with Open Table computer system Commitment to quality service and knowledge of food and beverage Physical Requirements
Walking up and down stairs; ability to reach with hands and arms Bending regularly; lift/move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally Ability to carry trays and bus tubs Exposure to kitchen heat and potentially slippery floors Close and distant vision with adjustable focus Seniority level
