University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14‑acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.
Overview of position: Student RN The Student RN provides, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. This role is accountable for the delivery of safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence‑based quality care to patients and families.

Qualifications Responsibilities:
Perform basic patient assessments such as taking vital signs and recording patient information
Participate in patient care planning and goal setting under the direction of the registered nurse
Observe and report changes in patient condition to the registered nurse
Discussing/recommending treatment approach, medication, and follow‑up care
Currently enrolled in a nursing program
Valid CPR certification
Skills:
Proficiency in medical terminology for medical documentation is preferred.
Knowledge of patient care principles for adult psychiatric patients is beneficial.
Competence in taking vital signs accurately.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
