Job Description Machine Operator - Injection | Denver, CO | Wage Rate $21.25 - $26.65
About the Role Injection Mold Machine Operator employees are responsible for the packaging and movement of finished product, computer‑based data entry, ticket generation and proper product staging.
They also must ensure the safe operation of the machine in the area of assigned responsibility, follow basic good manufacturing practices, recognize and correct quality problems, and troubleshoot all aspects of the Injection Molding process.
Responsible for ensuring that all finished product from machines is packaged for shipment according to the customer's specifications and internal requirements including internal good manufacturing practices / guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to start all types of injection presses from a "cold" start state. To demonstrate this ability, employees must be able to understand and explain the function / operation of the injection machine and process parameters on all current plant injection molding equipment.
Have the ability to understand and achieve established production standards by being able to set machine conditions to obtain optimum cycle without sacrificing quality.
Demonstrate organizational ability to complete daily clean‑up assignments, and adequately maintain good housekeeping throughout the entire area of responsibility.
When a quality problem is detected, it is the responsibility of the Machine Operator to take corrective action and notify Lead, Quality and Shift Technician.
Demonstrate an understanding of dryer components and processes.
Demonstrate an understanding of chiller components and processes.
Demonstrate an understanding of mold components and processes.
Demonstrate an understanding of preform dimension locations and measurements.
Responsible for assisting with all mold changes and set‑ups. Minor maintenance activities are required.
Follows all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Amcor "No Injuries Safety Contract" and as trained. Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co‑workers and Lead/Supervisors. Properly uses all required personal protective equipment.
Directly responsible for the proper support to Blow Mold Machine Operators and all other team members to ensure a positive team environment.
Performs other related duties as directed by the Lead/Supervisor.
Product Safety regarding cleanliness and notification of any observations that may create a product safety risk to our customers.
Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents in their departments.
Take reasonable care for self and others to prevent injury.

Maximum frequent carrying weight of 75 pounds for 10 feet.
Employees are required to stand / walk for up to 11 hours per shift on a concrete floor.
Employees must be able to work 12‑hour shifts day or nights, including weekends and holidays.
Employees are required to bend; turn / twist; kneel; squat; crawl; climb; reach out and up; turn wrist; grasp; pinch; and have finger manipulations.
About You
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Previous Blow Mold or Injection Mold training/experience preferred, or experience in manufacturing processes with demonstration of mechanical aptitude
High attention to detail and product/process quality
Ability to recognize and understand numbers and values. This includes entering information into an on‑line database accurately.
Ability to visually and mentally make priority decisions / judgment calls based on the situation at hand.
Proficient hand / eye coordination to operate equipment and assemble packaging for shipment.
Ability to manage time independently and complete tasks in a fast‑paced production environment
Must be willing to work any shift and overtime as required
