Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Base Pay Range $19.00/hr - $35.00/hr
Job Summary Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance for all commercial equipment to support Walmart stores. Responsibilities include developing preventive maintenance schedules, completing assigned PMs, conducting training for Store Associates on equipment care, and ensuring safety and functionality.
Responsibilities
Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment).
Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules, providing required written and electronic information (expense vouchers, weekly summaries, maintenance logs).
Desired Qualifications
Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment).
Strong customer service orientation and clear, respectful communication.
Strong time management, accountability and ability to prioritize.
Adaptability to changing demands and solid judgment.
Servant Leadership mindset and teamwork orientation.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years' experience in maintenance.
Valid state‑issued driver's license for at least 3 years, clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
Eligibility to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade. (Optional: 5 years of experience in trade.)
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.
Intermediate level proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
