Forklift Operator Overview Operate an industrial forklift to perform material handling assignments. Identify and transport material to and from storage areas and the loading dock. Use the forklift/high‑lift to lower stock to ground‑level pick‑level slots from higher reserve slots during night and day shifts, and to put received stock in higher level storage slots during the day shift, following safe operating practices. Work schedule is Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week, including paid training and paid overtime.
Responsibilities
Transport pallet loads of product from dock to the correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and ensure all pallets are secured in designated slots to avoid damage or injury.
Replenish pick slots with products from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
Perform operations and safety checks, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguishers.
Record all product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
Maintain the cleanliness of the aisles by removing any debris from the floor and racks.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Job‑related certification for material handling equipment; prior selector experience is preferred.
Ability to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); must be able to understand SAE commands.
Benefits and Compensation Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $22.88 and $25.00 per hour, plus incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, and a freezer premium.
