Clerk III – Perioperative Division – North Liberty
University of Iowa Healthcare North Liberty Campus is seeking a Clerk III to support perioperative clinical operations. The role involves clerical coordination, data management, and financial reconciliation for the perioperative division.
Responsibilities
Examine, evaluate, and verify documents (reports, purchase orders, payrolls, invoices, checks, and vouchers) for completeness and accuracy; resolve discrepancies.
Maintain, organize, and manage records; calculate estimates or billings; reconcile departmental statements.
Prepare, compile, and update records; generate routine queries and reports.
Coordinate and review the work of other clerical personnel to ensure compliance with guidelines.
Compose correspondence in response to routine inquiries without instruction or review.
Initiate and process standardized forms related to the area of assignment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of office routines and functions sufficient to refer visitors, route correspondence, and handle telephone calls.
Knowledge of institutional and unit policies, processes, and forms.
Proficiency in proper format, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization.
Skill in utilizing computer software packages and online systems; operating office equipment.
Effective communication with staff, students, and the public.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions and apply policies accurately.
Ability to gather, evaluate, and display data in appropriate formats and maintain accurate records.
Functional supervisory ability over employees.
Organizational and prioritizing skills for multiple tasks.
Schedule & Compensation Full-time (100%) position. Hourly pay: $18.72 to commensurate. Hours: 05–20:30, primarily Monday–Friday, with variable start times 05:00–09:00; possible weekend and holiday shifts.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Decision‑making ability requiring interpretation and judgment
