Heavy Equipment Operator (Port Orange, FL) – FCC Environmental Services

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Operates straight or articulated rubber‑tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front‑mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport demolition & MSW materials from storage to load staged roll‑off containers.
Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
Operates skid‑steer loader with multiple attachments and performs exchanges to facilitate different processes.
Performs lot cleaning by removing debris manually and with equipment.
Performs snow removal with each snow event along with salting and sanding to ensure a safe work environment.
Directs customers to the proper location by material for offloading.
Assists customers with unloading material when needed.
Communicates with subcontractor to schedule delivery of material to disposal location.
Performs facility and stormwater inspections with site manager.
Education:
HS Diploma or GED
Experience and Competencies:
Ability to work with internal and external customers and provide outstanding customer service.
Effective communication skills.
Performs inspections and reports findings to manager.
Personal Characteristics:
