Ability to handle stressful situations. Effective communication skills. Basic math knowledge (counting, addition and subtraction). Desired Qualifications

Retail experience. Second language skills (speaking, reading, writing). Promotion of trust and respect among associates. Ability to create an environment in which customers feel welcome and appreciated. Knowledge of products sold within the department to advise customers. Providing product samples to help customers discover new items. Informing customers of Drug GM and Home specials and recommending products. Reviewing sell by dates and taking appropriate action. Labeling, stocking and inventorying department merchandise. Reporting product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager. Displaying a positive attitude and staying current with present, future, seasonal and special ads. Reinforcing safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions. Practicing preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting needed repairs. Notifying management of customer or employee accidents. Reporting all safety risks, illegal activity (robbery, theft or fraud). Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
