We are hiring for a Floor Technician. The following summary describes the general nature and level of work performed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sweeps, mops, scrubs cafeterias, bathrooms, hallways, and stairwells. Carpet and upholstery cleaning.
Strip and wax tile floor, concrete and terrazzo flooring.
Other duties may be assigned.
Competencies Required
Able to work with single discs, boost machines, wet/dry vacuums, ride‑on floor machines, squeegees, mops and buckets, razor floor scrapers, doodle bugs, buffing machines and stripping/waxing chemicals.
Experienced in stripping old wax, neutralizing the floor and applying new wax by different application methods.
Ability to adapt to adverse flooring conditions.
Complete jobs in a timely manner as directed by crew leader, supervisor or project manager. Clean, maintain and be accountable for all equipment used.
Respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service; meet commitments.
Oral communication – speak, read and understand English.
Show respect for cultural differences; promote a harassment‑free environment.
Observe safety and security procedures; use equipment and materials properly.
Consistently attend and be punctual.
Education and Experience High school diploma or GED; one to three years of related experience and/or training.
Pay and Working Conditions Full‑time position, Monday to Friday. Pay: $18.00 per hour. Federal facility – requires strong criminal background check.
