Job Summary:

Reviews and maintains loan and account documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Errors and omissions are reported back to responsible staff to resolve or correct any issues to ensure files are complete and accurate.

Supervisory Responsibilities None.

Duties/Responsibilities

Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness.

Coordinate with underwriters and loan officers for required updates.

Maintain records and compliance documentation.

Review new membership applications for accuracy and completeness, especially as it pertains to BSA/CIP compliance.

Review new loan files to ensure documents are complete and accurate.

Report any suspicious or out of the norm trends to management when reviewing new loan and membership requests that may indicate fraud or potential loss to the credit union.

Review new loan reports to monitor for liens, reporting back to loan officers and management when files are incomplete or inaccurate.

Review denied loans to ensure Adverse Action letters are sent in compliance with regulation.

Support the compliance team in obtaining and maintaining member files.

Complete periodic (monthly) review of processed wire transfers to ensure documents are complete and accurate.

Maintain and provides oversight for the listing of known decedent accounts to ensure timely follow-up and applicable maintenance.

Assist with pulling information for audits and exams.

Assist with special projects.

May assist with lien release requests.

Assist in other areas of the credit union during peak or short-handed times.

Follow established credit union policies and procedures.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

Attention to detail and knowledge of loan processes.

Organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in documentation software.

Possesses a working knowledge of all credit union products/services.

Develops an understanding of credit union history and the credit union philosophy.

Remain knowledgeable of required account opening documents and procedures.

Remain knowledgeable of required lending documents/procedures.

Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Knowledge of various platforms. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Requires the ability to multi-task, manage time and prioritize tasks and remain organized.

Presents a can‑do attitude and behave like a team player.

Education And Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1–2 years of experience in loan documentation preferred.

Physical Requirements

Office environment with prolonged computer use.

May involve occasional document lifting up to 10 lbs.

Work Hours / Travel Requirements:

Monday through Friday, 8AM – 5PM
