Overview Provide world‑class customer service, maintain a clean, in‑stock store, and use sales techniques to increase average orders through face‑to‑face customer interaction.
Responsibilities
Assemble and display product specials and graphics in a professional presentation.
Ensure desired product amounts on shelves by ordering, checking inventory levels, and stocking as necessary.
Answer customer inquiries and questions with knowledgeable and professional assistance.
Provide suggested sales by recommending additional products or tools.
Log customer orders accurately, input correct data, and be familiar with all products, policies, and procedures.
Fill over‑the‑counter orders by locating items, bagging appropriately, and ensuring accuracy.
Maintain a clean, professional store atmosphere through cleaning and arranging of product.
Assist coordinator with cash reconciliation and balancing tills each day.
Follow proper opening and closing physical security routines.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and marketing plan.
Typing speed of 40 wpm.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Able to analyze problems and create solutions.
Independent, professional, and capable of following through on projects.
Prioritization and organizational skills.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to work under stress.
Ability to stand for the duration of shift.
Manual dexterity for stapling, collating, sorting, filing, typing, writing, wiping, dusting, cleaning, toting, etc.
Effective communication (hearing & speech) with individuals in person and by phone.
Visual reading of reports, computer screens, product details, batch numbers.
Computerized accounts receivable experience.
Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Strong customer relation skills for conflict situations.
Capability to lift at least 40 lbs and perform pulling, bending, stretching, and lifting during shift.
Perform essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
Additional Qualifications
Ability to climb stairs.
Word‑processing, graphics, and spreadsheet skills.
Work overtime as needed.
