We are looking for a skilled Crane Operator to join our team. As a leader in the heavy lift industry, Sterling Crane offers a culture of empowerment, learning opportunities, and a commitment to making a positive impact.

Duties & Responsibilities

Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, ensuring the correct selection and set-up of crane, lift or hoist.

Inspect and assess ground conditions as well as any possible overhead obstructions.

Maintain equipment through daily inspections, routine maintenance and minor repairs.

Maintain logs and records of operational activities.

Maintain visual and radio communications with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations, responding to questions and instructions clearly and quickly.

Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers, and mobile cranes.

Current TWIC card.

Successfully pass post‑offer drug and physical screens and meet company background requirements.

Dependable, reliable, and flexible to work overtime when necessary.

Maintain a current NCCCO Crane Operators License for qualified equipment.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials, or instructions.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Strong team‑work ability.

Physical Requirements

Strong depth perception and quick reaction time.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 65 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs regularly.

Visual capabilities to follow hand signals, maintain logs, and operate machinery.

Ability to sit for long periods of time.

Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

Benefits Package

Daily Per Diem.
