Fort Smith team works 24/7 creating wet formed fiberglass mat used in further manufacturing processes, such as shingles. Our new facility is nearing completion and has increased the size of our team, and another new production line is just starting construction.

Fort Smith crews work 12 hours shift on a 2 week rotation with 3 Day Weekend every other week.
Week 1- 36 Hours: Monday; Thursday; Friday
Week 2- 48 Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday; Saturday; Sunday
Additionally, crews rotate between Day & Night Shift every 28 days allowing teams to have the best of both worlds and plan personal activities on Off Days.
SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
Works as a warehouse team member and performs all positions in departmental on rotational basis. Loads, unloads, and transports finished goods and in-process products to and from warehouse and production line. Unloads, receives, transports and stores materials, supplies and equipment in receiving sections or warehouse locations as directed. Prepares truck loads of finished goods for shipment. Support inventory cycle counting of finished goods and materials. Performs general housekeeping, 5S, and participates in downtime cleaning activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Follows the plant safety process and ensures that good safety habits are instilled in the other craft labor and equipment operators.
Maintains an awareness of all safety issues within area of responsibility and responds with appropriate urgency to correct safety issues identified.
Participates in team meetings and TPM activities.
Operates forklift and/or other material handling devices.
Checks various forklift component systems and fluid levels.
Connects charging cables to the lifts at breaks and end of shift.
Completes battery and charging inspection sheets.
Completes daily vehicle inspection form prior to first use each day.
Performs general housekeeping and maintains 5S in all warehouse areas inside and outside.
Other duties as assigned or required by supervision.
SHIPPING FUNCTION
Ensures trailers are locked with the dock lock system, wheels are chocked, and dead-man stand is under the nose of all trailers before loading/unloading.
Inspect trailers before loading.
Visually inspects materials to be loaded for obvious defects and report off quality material or packages to appropriate personnel.
Procures finished goods from warehouse and loads into trailers or intermodals.
Ensures correct product is loaded.
Transport using forklift with grab or stinger attachment to load finished mat.
Close visual inspection is necessary of obvious defects, as this is last inspection prior to leaving the facility.
Performs administrative shipping duties as required including generating packing lists, bills of lading, etc.
Assists in the shipment of return vendor items, ensure packages are marked, and packed correctly for transportation of the package.
RECEIVING FUNCTION
Unloads supplies and equipment, including unloading Wet Chop input materials. Transports to designated staging or storage areas.
Places receivables in receiving area or warehouse storage locations. Confirms accuracy of packaging lists against materials received.
Uses forklift or other material handling device to locate to proper storage.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years' experience operating sit-down forklift
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to safeguard self with proper PPE for the specific task
Exposure to hot/cold temperature - continuously
Exposure to noise - continuously
Hand/Eye Coordination - continuously
Walk, sit, stand for duration of shift with regular breaks
Lift/carry/move up to 50 lbs. independently and heavier weights with assistance
Climb stairs, steps, and ladders
Ability to work extended hours as necessary
Able to operate computers & computerized equipment for quality, safety and compliance testing and training
Ability to communicate with co-workers face to face, by telephone, and electronic communications
Possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, operate a computer, and other standard office equipment
Vision adequate to manipulate equipment controls, complete paperwork, utilize computers, and have depth perception
