Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Pursuant to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, members of the bargaining unit with the current job code of # will be given hiring preference.
Operates heavy equipment such as dozers, motor graders, front end loaders, backhoes, excavators, chip spreaders, tandem dump trucks, single axle dump trucks, water trucks, lowboys, fuel trucks, sweepers and similar equipment in performing road and drainage repair and maintenance tasks.
Performs snowplowing and sanding.
Performs vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure a safe operating condition.
Performs traffic control, flagging, and signing for projects.
Completes tasks in support of road maintenance to include carpentry work, fence installation, jack hammering, painting, erosion and drainage control, tree trimming, grounds maintenance, cattle guard replacements, refuge removal, weed mowing/control.
Monitors and accounts for materials usage.
Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years of heavy equipment operating experience in the road maintenance/road construction industry required.
Licenses and/or Certificates: Valid Class A Commercial Colorado Driver’s License with tanker and air brake endorsements required.
Special Requirements: Must successfully pass background check. Must be able to pass post job offer physical screening.
