Merchandising Service Associate - Plant Service Lead
Join Lowe's Companies, Inc. as a Plant Service Lead where you will oversee daily merchandising operations for native plants and garden specialists.
Key Responsibilities
Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure merchandise resets meet Lowe’s specifications.
Collaborate with the Merchandising Service team and Manager on project priorities, schedule, and materials.
Engage customers when opportunities arise, assisting with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
Communicate product information, warranty details, and special order status to customers.
Empty plant racks onto plant tables, merchandising per planogram, price, and color block.
Identify damaged or missing signage, displays, and collateral and order replacements per merchandising standards.
Update and validate wayfinding and product location signage, and maintain digital records throughout the store.
Ensure proper placement of cross merchandise, side stack products, J-hooks, and gravity feed bins to drive add-on sales.
Assist with culling and pricing dead and distressed plants.
Maintain high-level communication and partnership with MSM and red vest associates.
Communicate quality, quantity, and additional needs to Outside Garden Supervisor and MSM.
Adjust fixtures, rotate stock, and support materials using power equipment per service expectations.
Record completion details, photograph work, and confirm servicing tasks are logged.
Repair or replace displays, secure packaging, and maintain working order of all signage.
Remove trash, move cardboard to the bailer, and clear plastic wrap and debris to the compactor.
Replace light bulbs and report maintenance issues such as lights out or painting needs.
Detect signs of shoplifting or theft and promptly report to management or Asset Protection.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of Outside Garden and work areas per housekeeping standards.
Ensure a safe workspace by conducting daily safety reviews and keeping aisles clear.
Adhere to safety requirements for top stock safety, safety cables, aisle blockers, tether lines on power equipment, spotters, and other devices.
Operate store equipment (e.g., Zebra phone, paging system, copiers, CCTV, key cutter, panel saw).
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
6 months of live nursery experience or general merchandising experience.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
6 months of Lowe’s sales floor experience.
6 months of experience performing product merchandising tasks, including reading planograms and setting up/tearing down displays.
3 months of experience operating power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment.
Pay Range $16.50 – $17.20 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on location, education, training, and experience.
