Job Summary:

The Compliance & Privacy Coordinator is dedicated to a regional market (Orangeburg) within MUHA.

Reporting to the Charleston Compliance & Privacy Manager, the Coordinator assists the Compliance Director and Privacy Director in executing their programs and manages dozens of service line directors and managers who serve as functional compliance liaisons.

As an independent agent, the Coordinator conducts regular meetings to monitor, evaluate, and resolve compliance and privacy questions, concerns, and audit deficiencies, addressing applicable rules and regulations.

Assists with annual risk assessment.

Remediates facility‑specific compliance/privacy allegations.

Develops and administers ongoing compliance education.

Conducts and oversees auditing and monitoring activities.

Researches and responds to compliance‑related questions.

Stays abreast of and communicates changes to applicable regulations.

Develops and oversees functional compliance officers and their workplans.

Facilitates and responds to third‑party compliance/privacy investigations.

Provides reports to councils, committees, and other leadership.

Maintains the compliance/privacy database for all site‑specific activities.

Additional Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Work Experience: 4-6 years.
