Summary The Media Planner plays a key role in supporting clients by developing and managing digital media strategies and media plans, executing approved digital campaigns, and overseeing day‑to‑day campaign stewardship—including budget management and billing reconciliation. This role partners closely with internal activation and analytics teams to ensure media efforts are aligned with client goals and executed seamlessly from start to finish. The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, brings in‑platform digital media knowledge, and communicates clearly and confidently, both written and verbal.
Core Responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of clients’ businesses, objectives, and competitive landscapes
Support the Media Supervisor in developing media strategies, tactics, and channel recommendations
Build and maintain campaign materials, including buys, flowcharts, budgets, and reconciliations
Manage media flowcharts and the Prisma billing system to ensure accurate budgeting, pacing, and delivery
Participate in planning across digital, social, search, streaming audio/video, influencer, TV, radio, and OOH
Oversee and support Associate Media Planners, providing guidance and supporting their development
Use media research tools and performance data to inform audience targeting, geography, channel selection, and competitive analysis
Collaborate with internal activation and analytics teams to integrate strategies into holistic media plans
Source, evaluate, and recommend media opportunities and partnerships
Create and distribute mechanical specs and buy guidelines for creative and media partners
Academic/Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of cross‑channel digital media planning experience
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and with various media planning/buying tools (e.g., MRI, Kantar, MediaOcean, etc.)
Previous exposure to the media planning process or media resources (e.g., DCM, Innovid, comScore, Prisma/Media Ocean, eTelmar (MRI), Media Tools, MediaOcean OX Commspoint, MOAT, IAS)
Ability to productively manage time and efficiently handle multiple tasks
Possess a strong work ethic with a high degree of self‑motivation
Desire to excel in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and collaborative agency environment
