Quality Assurance Manager ! The Role: We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Quality Assurance Manager who brings enthusiasm and expertise to the table. The Quality Assurance Manager at Raymond Muscatine, LLC, a division of Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA), is responsible for leading the site’s Quality Engineering function in support of our world-class manufacturing of material handling equipment. This role ensures alignment with TMHNA’s operational excellence goals and the Toyota Production System (TPS), with a strong focus on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. The Quality Assurance Manager will drive quality initiatives throughout the Muscatine facility, partner with cross-functional teams, support new product introduction (NPI), and lead the resolution of complex quality challenges using structured problem-solving methods. What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and develop a high-performing Quality Engineering team at the Muscatine facility. Champion and implement quality systems and processes in alignment with TMHNA standards, ISO 9001, and internal audit expectations. Support production teams in quality assurance, problem resolution, and process capability improvements. Manage root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities using 8D, A3, and other TPS-aligned tools. Serve as the site lead for quality audits (internal, external, customer, and corporate). Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams on new product launches, changes, and PPAPs. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including scrap, rework, customer complaints, and warranty claims. Use data to drive improvement. Work with TMHNA’s centralized quality leadership to ensure consistency across the network. Support supplier quality initiatives including supplier audits, performance monitoring, and defect resolution. Deliver regular reporting and updates to senior site leadership and corporate stakeholders. Work in a matrixed reporting structure, with direct leadership in a remote location. What We’re Looking For
8+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, with 3+ years in a leadership role. Working knowledge of ISO 9001, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D, and other quality tools. Experience with Toyota Production System (TPS), Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma. Proficient in Microsoft Office, quality software tools, and ERP systems (SAP preferred). What Sets You Apart
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Experience in automotive or industrial equipment manufacturing strongly preferred Certification in CQE, Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar is a plus. Where and When You’ll Work
