Business Development Manager
Remote position (Western United States) with Ideamine Technologies (acquired by Netrix Global).
About The Opportunity This individual‑contributor role focuses on hunting new business within the IT consulting industry. The candidate should have a proven track record of high performance, with strong prospecting skills, client relationship building, and the ability to close high‑value deals.
Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing and post‑sale follow‑up.
Collaborate with internal teams that support IT solution sales.
Enhance sales collateral and provide input for effective slides and documentation.
Communicate client needs and new service offerings to internal teams.
Deliver presentations to senior management and clients.
Operate in a highly entrepreneurial environment alongside high performers.
Collaborate with project teams in a consistent, equitable manner.
Manage client expectations and provide support and insight.
Qualifications
5–10 years of experience as a sales hunter (new logo/new revenue), preferably with Infrastructure‑as‑a‑Service or professional services solutions in cloud environments.
College degree (BA, BBA, BS) or equivalent work experience.
At least five cumulative years in IT consulting or related business services sales, including three years in enterprise or major account sales.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with C‑level and D‑level contacts.
Stay current on technology and business trends; advise clients on relevant solutions.
Consistent record of exceeding revenue and quota targets.
Strong knowledge of the competition and market tactics.
Deep understanding of industry and client business trends.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies, models, tools, and action plans.
Overall responsibility for new business development strategy, budget, and tactical plan across a multi‑state territory and multiple vertical markets.
Investigate obstacles and assess risks and benefits of solutions.
Excellent presentation skills.
