This role is essential to promoting the health of warehouse operation. The Warehouse Manager will wear many hats and personally affect all areas of the business, including managing finances, expense management, troubleshooting operational execution, and implementing new procedures. The Warehouse Manager is a trusted leader in the branch.
What you will be doing
- Planning and organizing: Warehouse management is responsible for developing and implementing operational plans and strategies that ensure the efficient and effective use of warehouse resources, including staff, equipment, and space.
- Staff management: Hiring, training, and managing warehouse staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory management: Maintaining accurate inventory records and managing inventory to minimize losses and ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Equipment management: Ensuring warehouse equipment is properly maintained and serviced, and used in a safe and effective manner.
- Quality control: Ensuring all goods received and shipped meet the quality standards set by the company and its customers.
- Health and safety: Operating the warehouse in a safe and healthy manner, in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Customer service: Handling customer requests and orders promptly and accurately, and addressing customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Compliance: Ensuring warehouse operations comply with regulations and standards related to safety, security, and environmental protection.
- By fulfilling these roles, warehouse management supports the success of operations and high-quality service to customers.
How you will be successful
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations
- Knowledge of bonded warehouse procedures
- Experience with Container Freight Station
- Broad understanding of the Shipping Industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Deep understanding of inventory knowledge and facilities management
- Extensive knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
- Aptitude, creativity, and the ability to work in small, collaborative teams
- Passion for problem solving and providing excellent customer service
