The Ohio Christian Care Network Executive Director serves Christian ministries throughout Ohio access state grants to advance their mission. Organized and process oriented, the Executive Director will work with the Center for Christian Virtue team to build out procedures for the Ohio Christian Care Network to apply for various government grants, and award the grants. The Executive Director will also interface with various state agencies to ensure the grants are awarded and being utilized in line with state requirements.

Reports to: President of Center for Christian Virtue

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Compensation: Full-time, Salaried/Exempt

Location: CCV Office in Columbus, Ohio, with Occasional Statewide Travel

Key Responsibilities

Develop an in-depth knowledge of state grants Christian ministries in Ohio may be eligible for, and the process to apply for those grants. Build processes and procedures for the Ohio Christian Care Network to apply for state grants and award funds to various ministries. Interface with state agencies to ensure grant applications are meeting state standards. Work with the CCV Finance Director to ensure grants are being used in line with state requirements. Assist Christian ministries in the drafting and completion of state grants. Partner with the CCV Policy team to develop legislative strategies to make state grants more accessible to Christian ministries. Monitor and provide public comment on state rule-making processes that impact state grants Christian ministries access. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Skills and Experience

Undergraduate degree required. 3-5 years’ experience in state government. Law degree preferred, not required. Ability to manage personal administrative tasks, including time-tracking, mileage and reimbursement submissions, and other office tasks as required. Strong research and writing skills. Able to communicate orally, both effectively and persuasively. Attentive to detail and well organized. Strong time management skills, punctual, able to operate on a schedule, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Able to remain flexible with ever-changing priorities. Thrive in and enjoy working in a multi-tasking, fast-paced work environment; able to get things done, highly efficient. Self-starter, independent, motivated daily by a passion to see CCV’s work advance. Able to be proactive and strive to close gaps in skill and knowledge. Strong computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Able to master constituent relationship management database system.

Character and Spiritual

Mature Christian, currently attending or pursuing attendance in a local church. Agreement with and adherence to CCV’s Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct. Demonstrated commitment to CCV’s mission and position on Core Issues. Ability to work discreetly with confidential information. Trustworthy, responsible, tactful, diplomatic, and focused on building consensus rather than emphasizing differences. Maintain a high level of professionalism focused on client/constituent relationships. Exhibit strong leadership qualities.
