Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Church Relations Assistant Manager to join our team in North Wilkesboro, NC . You can be a part of a highly professional North American Disaster Relief team. In this role, you will support the North American Disaster Relief and U.S. Rebuild departments by supporting the continuation and enhancement of church partnerships as well as managing U.S. Rebuild Church Grants. We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. In the role of Church Relations Assistant Manager , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him. Work with the Church Relations Manager to develop new strategies and programs to further develop the Church Relations program. Support Church Relations Manager in maintaining relationships with Lighthouse Host Churches. This includes support with vetting potential host churches for disaster and rebuild responses, participating in after action reviews to ensure ministry objectives were achieved, and encouraging future ministry involvement. Travel with NADR Program Management to support new responses by establishing Host Churches and networking with local congregations. Support the development of relationships with volunteer sending Lighthouse Churches. Seek out new partnerships and engage current partners through volunteer opportunities. Support relationships with churches who house a Disaster Response Vehicle. Assist with the planning and implementation of Lighthouse Church Partners Conference and future events as needed. Assist in community relations and promotions of the Church Relations Program by preparing for and attending conferences; meeting with local churches; and giving presentations as needed. Support the Church Relations Manager with church relations related administrative and logistical duties. Manage US Rebuild Church Grants by maintaining a relationship with beneficiary churches, reviewing applications, writing grant requests, submitting draw requests, and completing administrative work as needed. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and two (2) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to coach and mentor others Ability to effectively present information in reports and both internal and external correspondence. Thorough knowledge of conflict management and leadership principles Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Public speaking and presentation skills Working knowledge of Microsoft programs, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
