About the Role

As an

Elementary Technology Teacher

at Merryhill School, you will engage students in developing digital literacy, computational thinking, and technology fluency. Our technology program supports students in becoming responsible digital citizens and creative problem solvers, while integrating innovative tools to enhance their overall learning experience. We seek confident, caring educators who set high expectations, cultivate curiosity about technology, and create a vibrant, engaging classroom environment.

You will also:

Create, manage, and participate in a variety of technology-based learning environments and activities that encourage student exploration and achievement.

Design and deliver engaging lessons in technology and computer science that align with school curriculum and student learning goals.

Promote positive social and emotional development in students within a tech-integrated setting.

Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure cohesive and cross-curricular learning opportunities.

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress in technology competencies.

Maintain a well-organized, safe, and developmentally appropriate digital and physical classroom environment.

Participate in professional development and continuous self-improvement as an instructional technology educator.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university

Teacher credential as specified under state regulations

An advanced degree in education or instructional technology is preferred

Prior teaching or technology integration experience preferred

Strong communication, instructional, and classroom management skills

Demonstrated proficiency with instructional technology tools, platforms, and a passion for 21st-century digital learning

Ability to pass state and federal background checks

Genuine passion for teaching and supporting student growth through technology
