Position Overview
We are seeking a California-based attorney to join our practice in a remote capacity, with in-person court appearances required for trials. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator to handle complex and diverse insurance defense cases from inception through trial.
Required Qualifications
* Active membership in the California State Bar * 3-5 years of litigation experience * Strong litigation skills and desire to try cases * Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives * Willingness to travel within California for court appearances and trials
Preferred Qualifications
* Insurance defense litigation experience * Experience in taking depositions and examinations under oath * Track record of successful motion practice * Experience in developing case strategy with clients * Background in handling cases through trial as lead attorney
Key Responsibilities
* Manage full lifecycle of cases from initial assignment through resolution * Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with clients * Conduct depositions and examinations under oath * Draft and argue motions * Prepare legal opinions and analysis * Lead trials as first chair * Work effectively in a remote environment while maintaining strong team collaboration
