Position Responsibilities

Design network designs, services, and deployment procedures that solve for many requirements.

Contribute with the leadership team to decide on the projects that best support the team’s mission.

Lead the team to design ahead of customer or technology needs, always predicting and solving for problems that have not yet occurred by creating and defending High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documents.

Work with internal stakeholders to influence technology roadmaps.

Construct and test solutions.

Provide support to the teams that will deploy and operate these designs.

Create and automate deployment processes that increase quality and velocity.

Work closely with internal customers on designs/solutions and bring those designs/solutions from concept to production.

Mentor junior engineers.

Compensation 40 hours / week, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Salary Range $183,000 / yr to $247,600 / yr.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

One year of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation.

One year of experience in the following skill(s):

Working with IP routing protocols, technologies, and platforms in a large‑scale data center or WAN network environment.

Developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP networks or networking systems.

Responding to customer‑impacting events, including mitigating and performing root‑cause analysis of those events.

Automation via Bash or shell scripting.

Perl or Python programming.
