The primary objective for the PMO Director is to ensure that Technium customer-facing or internal project assignments are completed successfully, applying your experience in managing project teams comprising senior business and technical management, vendor teams, sub-contractors, implementation engineers and project support staff.
Measurements of success include overall customer experience, efficiency, timeliness, and budget compliance. The PMO Director will help shape the project management office (PMO) by contributing ideas and implementing improvements to the PMO policies, processes, procedures, and documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the PMO establishing policies and procedures for all PMs
Develop and implement strategies to improve the project lifecycle and scale the PMO
Assist in customer management during active projects
Establish standards around resource scheduling, project structure, change requests, and opportunity management
Maintain profitability for all projects
Professional technical services project management
Internal technical services project management
Participate in onboarding and offboarding processes
Maintain technical acumen and apply as necessary in the delivery of projects
Mentor all PM staff
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 10 years project management experience
Bachelors degree required
4 years of experience leading PMs
PMP or comparable project management certification
Exceptional communication and documentation skills
Experience with business software including Microsoft office suite, PSA platforms, and CRM
Previous executive support experience preferred
Startup experience preferred (must be able to adapt and work in a dynamic fast paced environment)
